Cal Dodd
CAL DODD's passion is singing and his vocal stylings are enticing. He has a distinctive and emotional approach to the music and with a four octave range, Cal's vocals are compelling. From smooth to smoky, Cal takes a song and makes it his own.

Born in Ireland and raised in Port Dover, Ontario, with a music teacher mother who recognized his gift at an early age, the musical journey began. Through the early years, Cal was encouraged to explore his vocal gift and excelled in all genres; from classical to musical theatre, to the music of the day.

Cal moved to Toronto where the journey got hectic and he embraced it all; Cal toured with Joe Cocker, recorded regularly with the Laurie Bower Singers, sang on numerous artists' recordings, did countless television and radio shows, theatre and live performances (including the rare opportunity to sing with Jule Styne, Sammy Cahn and Charles Strouse) and landed the star role in the internationally acclaimed television series "Circus".

In addition to his musical pursuits, Cal is one of the busiest voice-actors and jingle singers in Canada. His client list includes successful campaigns such as TD Bank (Pennies from Heaven), Ford (voice), Raisin Bran (voice) and Labbatt Blue (Somewhere Beyond the Sea).

An exceptionally versatile vocalist, Cal portrayed the voice of Ricky Nelson (Ricky Nelson - Teen Idol), has lent his voice to numerous film scores, is a long time supporter of Famous People Players and loves his latest character, The Mad Hatter.

At the top of the long list of animated-characters which Cal has brought to life, is Wolverine (X-Men Television Series). Others include Slappy (Goosebumps), Rip Rockerfeller (Rescue Heroes) and Donko (The Weird Years).

His latest project, a self-titled CD, features Cal's creative musicianship and artistic intellect. From the soulful "At Last", the embracing "Smile" to the rousing "Let the Good Times Roll"; it's a ride that you don't want to end.
